정간(井間)의 시가 해석에 관한 논의
본 연구는 정간의 시가 해석에 있어서 몇 가지 문제점을 인식하고 이를 재해석하여 정간이 시간단위임을 증명하고자 시도한 글이다. 1948년 이혜구의 ‘한 정간이 한 박’이라는 주장에 대해서 1970년대 후반부터 현재까지 여러 학자들이 정간이 시간단위가 아니라는 문제제기가 있었다. 대체로 정간 해석은 한 정간을 한 박으로 보든 8정간 또는 1행을 한 박으로 보든 정간이 일정한 공간을 차지한다는 의견과 8정간의 5ㆍ3 정간을 등시가로 보기 때문에 정간이 시간단위가 아니라는 의견으로 나뉜다. 이 글에서는 정간보에서의 정간이 시간단위라는 사실은 세종실록악보 이후로 변함이 없으며, 세월에 의한 음악의 빠르기 변화와 악보 기록자의 박자 인식의 차이에 따라 정간의 기보 내용이 달라질 수 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 시용향악보의 제1대강, 제2대강, 제3대강 시작 음악의 리듬 차이를 명확히 나타내기 위해서는 비어 있는 대강 속 정간이 일정한 길이를 갖는 시간단위여야 함을 확인하였다.
Discussion on Interpretation of Jeonggan's Beat
This thesis aims to prove that jeonggan (井間) is a unit of time by recognizing and reinterpreting the problem of interpretation of jeonggan's beat. Regarding Lee Hye-gu's 1948 argument that 'one jeonggan is one beat', many scholars from the late 1970s to the present have raised the question that jeonggan is not a unit of time. In general, the interpretation of jeonggan's beat is divided into the opinion that a jeonggan occupies a certain space regardless of whether 1 jeonggan is regarded as 1 beat or 8 jeonggans as 1 beat or 1 line as 1 beat, and the opinion that jeonggan is not a unit of time, because 5 jeonggans and 3 jeonggans are regarded as the same beat among 8 jeonggans. In this thesis, it was confirmed that the fact that the jeonggan of jeongganbo is a unit of time has not changed since Sejongsillog-akbo (世宗實錄樂譜), and that only the contents of jeonggan can change according to the change in the tempo of music according to the times and the difference in the time recognition of the score writer. In addition, it was confirmed that the interval in the empty jeonggan should be a unit of time with a certain length in order to clearly show the difference in rhythm between the first, second, and third daegangs (大綱) of Siyonghyang-akbo (時用鄕樂譜).
