『금합자보』 <여민락> 금ㆍ적(琴笛)에 관한 연구
관악과 현악은 어떤 음정관계로 형성되어 왔는가에 대해서 고심해 오던 중 『금합자보(琴合字譜)』<여민락 (與民樂)>에 금보와 적보가 병기되어 있어서 관악기와 현악기 간의 상호 이음(異音)이 연주되는 사례와 법칙에 대한 의문을 풀고자 하였다. 이에 대한 선행연구에서는 ‘한국음악은 단 선율로 이루어졌다는 점이 한국음악의 주요 특징 가운데 하나로 자리하게 될 가능성을 시사한다.’고 한바 있다. 그러나 본고의 분석 결과 금ㆍ적보의 다른 음 비율은 비록 12.65%로 나타나고 있지만, 오히려 동이행(同異行) 단위로 볼 때 동일 선율 행은 26행(23.6%)로 적고 이행은 84행(76.4%)로 많게 나타나고 있다. 즉, 출현음의 많고 적음보다는 이음을 삽입함으로써 다른 선율로 변화시키는 방법으로 사용되었다고 볼 수 있다. 금ㆍ적보의 다른 음이 생성되는 경우를 살펴본 결과 음계(音階)내의 下五~上三의 매 출현 음 30유형 가운데 1음 위 혹은 1음 아래가 가장 많은 16유형으로 나타나고, 다음으로 2음 위 혹은 아래가 10유형으로 나타나고, 3ㆍ4ㆍ6음 위 혹은 아래가 모두 4유형으로 1~2회 출현하므로 사용 빈도가 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 금ㆍ적의 음정관계는 주로 매음 1음 위 혹은 1음 아래가 사용되고 있음을 확인 하였다. 이상의 내용에 근거한다면 전통연주에 있어서 다양성을 추구하는 오늘날 관현의 연주나 작곡에 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
A Study of the Geomungo and Daegeum Scores for in 『Geumhapjabo』
This study aims for resolving a doubt on the correlation of the musical intervals of the wind and string music, which was driven from a precedent study concluding, "It is possible to consider it one of the main features of Korean music that it is monophonic. Investigating into "Yeominnak" in Tablature Manuscript for Geomungo (Geumhapjabo) which has both the wind and string music scores, the study explores the examples and principles of the polyphonic melodies of the wind and string instruments. The study finds that 23.6% (26 lines) of the scores, considering by their lines, are of the monophonic melodies while 76.4% (84 lines) appear to have different melodies although the ratio of the appearance of unison takes 12.65%. This means that they inserted allophone to give changes to melodies. Analyzed of the appearance of allophone in the wind and string scores, they appear in three types: 16 out of 30 tones used between bottom 5 to top 3 appear to be a key higher or lower; 10 tones appear to be 2 keys higher or lower; 4 tones appear to be 3,4,6 key higher or lower, which appear the least frequently. Therefore, the correlation of the wind and string music can be considered to be mainly one key higher or lower in musical intervals. It is considered that these findings can be utilized for the wind-string music performances or compositions today when people seek diversity.
